Kobe Bean Bryant was born in Philadephia, PA on August 23, 1978. He played basketball in Lower Merion High School, where he was recognized as the top player in the country. After graduating, he skipped college to enter the NBA Draft in 1996. He was drafted 13th by the Charlotte Hornets but was traded to the Los Angeles Lakers where he spent the entirety of his 20 year career. His list of accomplishments include being a 18 time All Star, 4 time All Star Game MVP ('02, '07, '09, '11), (5 time NBA Champion ('00-'02, '09-'10), 2 time NBA Finals MVP ('09-'10), 2 time Olympic Gold Medalist ('08, '12), 2 time Scoring Champion ('06-'07), 15 time All NBA team member, 12 time All NBA Defensive team member, and the 2008 NBA MVP. He scored 81 points on January 22, 2006, which is the 2nd most points scored in a regular season game behind Wilt Chamberlain (100). He is also 3rd on both the all time regular season and postseason scoring lists and holds the record for the most seasons played with one team for an entire career.
